Chenggang Wu

I am a fifth-year Computer Science Ph.D. student in the RISE Lab at U.C. Berkeley working with Professor Joe Hellerstein. My research interests lie in data-centric systems and distributed systems. I led the development of an ultra-fast, flexibly consistent, autoscaling and cost-effective key-value store Anna. Currently, I am building the next-generation serverless computing platform using Anna as the storage backplane. I am also interested in applying machine learning techniques to database problems.

Prior to U.C. Berkeley, I obtained my B.S. degree with honors in Computer Science from Brown University in 2015, working with Professor Stan Zdonik and Tim Kraska.
