I am Co-founder and CTO of RunLLM, a startup building the developer platform for LLM-powered applications. RunLLM builds on over a decade of research from the UC Berkeley AMP, RISE, and Sky Labs as well as the LMSys group.
Previously, I got my Ph.D. from the RISE Lab at UC Berkeley, where I worked with Prof. Joe Hellerstein and Prof. Joseph Gonzalez. My Ph.D. dissertation on scalable cloud infrastructure won the 2022 SIGMOD Jim Gray Doctoral Dissertation Award. The dissertation explores design principles on building an ultra-fast, autoscaling key-value store Anna, and the next-generation serverless computing platform Cloudburst.
Prior to U.C. Berkeley, I obtained my B.S. degree with honors in Computer Science from Brown University, where I worked with Prof. Stan Zdonik and Prof. Tim Kraska.
